Book book book
As I write this, my infant son is on a quest to stick his most fragile parts beneath the legs of the rocking chair on which I sit.
The end of the year is approaching rapidly, and I want to clear the @unblogged
category on my Kindle, so here goes.
- False Value, Ben Aaronovitch. I'm mostly reading the Rivers of London books out of a sense of loyalty. This one is fine, I guess.
- This is How You Lose the Time War, Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. Very good arthouse scifi romance. Almost enough to make me give Max Gladstone another try.
- The Physicians of Vilnoc, Lois McMaster Bujold. I enjoyed this when I read it, but have entirely forgotten the emotional core.
- A Deadly Education, Naomi Novik. Fun grim magic school book. Although not unproblematic, got unfairly slammed in The Discourse.
At this point, my infant son's objections to my writing are becoming so strong that I must leave off and discuss with him in person. Maybe I'll get another post out later today.
